Indian Healthcare Quality Forum (IHCQF), a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Y.P. Bhatia, whose sole objective is to promote concepts of quality management in healthcare in India. For this, the forum aims to bring together professionals in the field of quality having a distinct inclination towards promoting quality in health care while drawing inspiration and adapting features from industries worldwide.
IHCQF, in association with Quality Council of India and Joint Commission International, Asia Pacific organized its annual conference on 23 rd and 24 th February 2007 in New Delhi preceded by a two day workshop on 21 st and 22 nd February 2007 sponsored by JCI Knowledge Network.
The theme of the conclave “Accreditation: The path to continuous quality improvement in healthcare.” The forum has been able to attract leading professionals in Healthcare Quality as well as Accreditation from reputed organizations, national and international. Notable organizations among them are Quality Council of India, Joint Commission International, USA; University of Oslo, Norway; American Society of Quality (Healthcare division) etc.
The conclave highlighted the need and initiatives taken to achieve a bench mark of quality standards in (Indian) healthcare sector. |
